John Dewey is a character in the third season of the Agatha Raisin television adaptation, originating in the novel Agatha Raisin and the Love from Hell.

He is Melissa Sheppard's first husband and the eccentric owner of a vintage doll shop.

He was portrayed by Richard Glover.


Television series

John was secretly aiding Ted Huxley deal drugs around Carsely. He would hide the drugs in cheap dolls, which wouldn't draw attention to him as he was the owner of a vintage doll shop, before distributing the drug filled dolls to clients around the village. The pair mainly operated out of the Fox and Ferret during their weekly singles night. (Agatha Raisin & the Love from Hell)
